The MVC and the DEP are upgrading equipment to inspection facilities statewide
The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) have begun a phased-schedule equipment update to all 29 Centralized Inspection Facilities. During each facility update, the location will be temporarily closed for one business day. Wednesday, the Eatontown Inspection Station on Route 36 will undergo the upgrade and will be closed. Officials say you can visit the Freehold facility on Okerson Road or the Lakewood facility on Route 70. Weekly closings will be posted at www.njinspections.com.
